Claridge's

Claridge’s, with 203 rooms, is one of London’s iconic five-star hotels. Celebrated for its sumptuous art-deco features (including 1930s vintage furniture that once graced the staterooms of the decommissioned SS Normandie), it has a series of more modern rooms and suites designed by David Linley, the Queen's nephew. The result is muted colours and elegant, classic furniture designs.

TATE

One of London's most amazing attractions, this outstanding modern- and contemporary-art gallery is housed in the creatively revamped Bankside Power Station south of the Millennium Bridge. A spellbinding synthesis of modern art and capacious industrial brick design, Tate Modern has been extraordinarily successful in bringing challenging work to the masses, both through its free permanent collection and fee-paying big-name temporary exhibitions. The stunning Switch House extension opened in 2016, increasing the available exhibition space by 60%.

The River Cafe

Coming at the vanguard of the capital’s resurgent love of really, really good food, the River Cafe was one of the first to raise the bar for all restaurants, not just the elite handful. Since opening in 1987, they’ve earned a Michelin Star, snagged an MBE for Ruth Rogers (who founded the place along with Rose Gray), and trained up future greats like Jamie Oliver, Theo Randall and Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall.

National Gallery

With more than 2300 European masterpieces in its collection, this is one of the world's great galleries, with seminal works from the 13th to the mid-20th century, including masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Titian, Vincent van Gogh and Auguste Renoir. Many visitors flock to the eastern rooms on the main floor (1700–1930), where works by British artists such as Thomas Gainsborough, John Constable and JMW Turner, and Impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces by Van Gogh, Renoir and Claude Monet await.

Qasr Al Hosn

Over centuries, Qasr Al Hosn has been home to the ruling family, acted as the seat of government, housed the National Consultative Council founded by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Founder of the UAE and has been home to a national archive. Today it stands as a living memorial to the nation and a narrator of Abu Dhabi's history.

As the oldest standing structure in Abu Dhabi, the picturesque Qasr Al Hosn is home to an original watchtower that makes for incredible photographs. Built around the 1790s, this commanding structure overlooked the coastal trade routes and protected the growing settlement established on the island.

Qasr Al Watan

Qasr Al Watan is a working Presidential palace in Abu Dhabi and a majestic cultural landmark that invites the world to discover the rich legacy of knowledge and tradition that has shaped the UAE's journey. Boosting cultural understanding of the nation and emphasising its incredible history, this is more than just a traditional palace.

Qasr Al Watan is an exquisitely crafted tribute to Arabian heritage and artistry, with its architecture and design echoing the significance and function of the impressive exhibits and iconic rooms housed within its halls.

Louvre Abu Dhabi

The Louvre Abu Dhabi was inaugurated in 2017. The result of an unprecedented partnership between France and the United Arab Emirates, it is France’s largest cultural project abroad. There are three cornerstones to its success: its spectacular architecture, the richness of its permanent collection (thanks to loans from the Louvre and other French museums), and the quality of its temporary exhibitions.

    Visit to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

    Lunch in Abu Dhabi.

  • Afternoon

    Transfer to Dubai for an Architectural Tour of the City.

    Cocktail break in Dubai.

    Dinner with a view of Dubai’s famous fountains at GAL Restaurant.

    Transfer back to Abu Dhabi.

  • Overnight

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the world’s largest mosques and an architectural masterpiece that beautifully combines Islamic architecture and design. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE, had the mosque built in the capital city Abu Dhabi to create a cultural haven that welcomes and inspires people from all backgrounds. Standing over 100 metres tall at its highest point, Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a must-see for any traveller visiting the city.

Dubai

Flaunting its glittering infrastructure amid the extensive sand dunes, the city of Dubai is nestled along a sandy coastline in the Arabian Gulf. The city bustles with a potpourri of cultures from all corners of the world sharing a sphere of peace. Once known to be barren land, today this man-made miracle has managed to turn heads like never before.
